FMF / What happens to all those photographs?

FMF2010 at the Back Booth. The guys (I didn't get to meet the girl but I am sure she is cool as well) from Murder By Death (thanks for buying our record Matt, it means a lot) were some of the nicest fellows we have had the pleasure to play with. The FMF festival is what it is, with headliners like Rusted Root and also Less Than Jake, it is not the cutting edge sort of thing that you would get at CMJ or SXSW. Regardless it was a good time. Chris from Parafora music made appropriate jabs at Shawn, and Fedge let us know that Gil Mantera's Party Dream had fired him from tour. (we suspect because he wouldn't wear the spandex while running sound)

Aside from all that this show reminded us of something curious and also sometimes disturbing. We seem to attract a lot of random photographers. And no, not the sort where it's a fan or a friend snapping a pic on a cellphone, I mean, three guys with pro cameras and big flashes all banging away at the same time snapping photo after photo. This goes on for about 15 minutes. Perhaps they will have a quick beer and then the clip out of the club before we have time to find out who what and why. When this first started happening it made us happy. Now we are downright paranoid about it... because we never... see the... photos... Where do all those photos go? Lord knows we have tried to find them. Finally one surfaced, on the official FMF web page. Nice. Thank you. We were starting to get worried what you photographers were doing will all these photos, and Jason had a strange dream that somewhere in a room there was wallpapering made completely out of his face, with the eyes cut out. Fear not Jason.
